Now that I’ve been in touch with all the venues, including The Acoustic Festival of Britain which sadly announced its cancellation yesterday, I can confirm that along with the March dates previously cancelled, my April-May tour dates are now all cancelled as well. These are dark times for all of us in the creative sector – musicians, actors, comedians, technical crew, venue staff. There’s no question whatsoever that saving lives takes precedence over saving livelihoods, but I hope measures will be put in place to help artists and other self-employed individuals recover from this blow.
